Hoewel ik nog steeds verliefd ben op mijn Vaude daypack ben ik op zoek naar een kleinere setup voor langere reizen. Nergens geld het credo “less is more” meer als wanneer je op reis bent, hoe minder je bij hebt, hoe minder je hoeft mee te slepen en hoe minder zorgen je hoeft te maken dat je iets verliest. Maar hoe ziet mijn ideale setup er dan uit?

Met mijn verjaardag heb ik een nieuwe rugzak (Deuter Futura Pro 38) gekregen die ik kan gebruiken als handbagage op de meeste vluchten. Dit is ideaal, want ik heb nu altijd al mijn spullen bij en ik hoef niet meer te wachten bij het ophalen van de bagage van de bagageband. (Een klein nadeel is wel dat ik geen zakmes meer mee kan nemen, damn airline regulations!).

indiana jones bagMaar als je langere reizen maakt is het ook wel handig om een een tas te hebben die als day-pack kan fungeren. 2 Rugzakken meenemen is daarintegen helemaal niet handig, dus ik ben op zoek naar een mooie en duurzame schoudertas waarin je genoeg mee kunt nemen, maar die toch niet te groot is. Inspritie hiervoor is de oude legertas die Indiana Jones gebruikt in de films.
Een dergelijke tas is echter wel erg klein voor de 13″ Macbook Pro die ik nu heb, dus ook deze wil ik volgend jaar vervangen voor een kleinere variant, waarschijnlijk een 11″ Macbook Air.
Verder moet er minimaal nog een pen, een kindle, een notebook en een flesje water inpassen.

Het bleek lastig om een dergelijke tas te vinden, je moet zoiets toch zien en daardoor is het lastig om een tas bij een bedrijf als Zalando te bestellen. Wel heb ik daar wat inspiratie op kunnen doen en deze tassen vielen wel in de smaak:

Mijn eisen voor de tas:

  • hoog in plaats van brede tas
  • liefst van leer (iig geen ruw materiaal dat m’n kleren kapot schuurt)
  • clip om af te sluiten (tegen grijpgrage handjes)
  •  bruin of zwart, dat weet ik nog niet precies
  • meerder vakjes om handig dingen in op te bergen (kabels, pennen, etc)

Hoewel ik al graag de tas zou willen kopen, moet ik denk ik eerst wachten totdat ik mijn nieuwe MacBook heb, want dan weet ik pas of het echt past.
